I can't wait to try more of these! I've only tried 2 from the Aoud series (Oud Black and Oud Queen Rose) and they fascinated me with their woodsy complexity--a bit sharp, a bit bitter, but strong and earthy. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but they are interesting.

It is certainly very exciting! I like Montale fragrances I sampled (with few exceptions), therefore easier access to them is always welcome.

Price points are not good, so I hope I don't fall mad for anything, although falling mad is always a euphoric delight, so bottom line: catch-22. Aouds are $210 per 3.4 oz and the others are $135 per 3.4 oz. Why in the heck don't they come in smaller sizes?

The prices are on the higher end, but it is because they carry only the large sizes. 50ml size in Paris was rather reasonably priced, as I recall.

Of the Montales I've tried, i've really oved them but those prices are so high - perhaps if I find a fragrance I really need!

They are on the high side, yes. Perhaps I will just wait till I get to Paris to buy a small bottle. On the other hand, Aoud Roses Petale is worth the price for me! :)
