Chanel Chance in Eau de Parfum has already debuted in France. The composition created by Jacques Polge is supposed to be rounder and softer, with a stronger accent on vanilla, jasmine and iris. From Chanel.
Sorry but i really don't like CHANCE.
It is very disapointing to me and looks like COCO mademoiselle,in a charmless way.
Pleasant, yes but not original and quality could have been better.
Chanel is like many houses of perfumes:Trying to be more on commercial and less on creativity.
What a pity...
Kisses,dear.

Maybe I could wear it in edp. I can't wear the edt. It is harsh and jarring, never softens. I like the notes they say they are emphasizing in the edp. I'll give it a try.

Julien, like you I was not particularly impressed with Chance, but I am going to test the EDP and see whether it is more interesting. I did like the hyacinth note in Chance, and I hope that it remains in the EDP.

Karin, I keep hoping for the same thing. Let us see what the outcome will be like. I also understand that there is a parfum version as well, however I have not tried it.

Like Karin, I found Chance (EDT) harsh and unwearable. But if they say that the EDP will be rounder and softer, that might be a big improvement.

M, I think that you are right. The softer and rounder is needed to make Chance more interesting for me. I am already looking forward to the release.

I have this secret suspicion that Chance came about by chance, in the lab. To me, it smells like someone poured equal parts Coco Mademoiselle and Allure into the same bottle. I was really looking forward to the launch of the original Chance, but once I smelled it, I was so disappointed!

I was disappointed as well, as it seemed redundant to me after Coco Mlle. Perhaps, the EDP will be better. I am an optimist. :)
