The Different Company is launching the new fragrance created by Celine Ellena called Sel de Vetiver, evoking vetiver roots macerating in a glass of water. Sel de Vetiver includes notes of cardamom, geranium, ylang ylang, and vetiver. (from cosmeticnews)
Ooh, V, that sounds divine, especially for vetiver lovers.
Hugs!

R, vetiver lovers should rejoice. I do love vetiver, and I am excited to try it.

Why am I not as excited as you two?
The smell of vetiver in the raw (the essential oil that is) is pungent enough to kill an elephant in twenty paces , and although I LOVE vetiver in perfumes (Timbuktu , Declaration , Chanel #19 , Bandit , Cristalle) the image of the grass submerged in water and with the addition of such powerhouses as ylang ylang and cardamom seems like a difficult feat. The Different company has made some great scents , so I am keeping an open mind , however....

Well, it may be an indication of my strange tastes, but I love the smell of vetiver essential oil. It is pungent, but I do like it.
