The rock band KISS joins the world of celebrity fragrances, with a line of makeup and fragrance that is about to debut this year. "It isn't a fragrance for fans of the band exclusively. It's about being a free thinker who blazes their own path and lives life according to their own rules realizing that there is no rehearsal for life," says KISS guitarist Paul Stanley.
KISS Her is described as a lush, "floriental" scent. "I find it a real turn-on — it's very feminine without being frilly," said Stanley. "When I smell more women wearing KISS Her, my head will be turning to a point I need a brace. It's very sexy, flirtatious and very hot. It takes a certain kind of person — one with a little wildness waiting to come out." The fragrance created by IFF perfumers includes "top notes of apple-tini, wet fig leaves, racy bull accord and red peppercorns; middle notes of red poppy, black orchid, sueded frangipani petals and calla lily, and base notes of amber crystals, musky bare skin accord, patent leather and mahogany."
KISS Him features "top notes of bergamot, white pepper, anise and black cumin; middle notes of lavender, cypress, dark rum and fir balsam, and base notes of sandalwood, tonka, moss and honeyed amber crystals."
Another celebrity to bring out a fragrance is Daisy Fuentes, model, actress and clothing designer. Dianoche will be launched this year. More news on it shall be forthcoming tomorrow. Via WWD.
Good grief! What on earth is racy bull accord!? Bet those Kiss fragrances will probably sell well. They are nothing if not masters of marketing.
I am waiting for Kermit the Frog to come out with a new fragrance - something green I think ; )

That's my question too, what is racy bull accord? I have some guesses, and none of them will get that perfume next to my skin, eeek!!!!

Well, it's better than FCUK Her, I guess.

Maybe it's just a leather accord and they were being creative. :O)

Cheezwiz, I welcome anything green! In fact, the greener, the better. Most of green fragrances these days are incredibly pale. As for racy bull accord, I am afraid that I cannot even offer anything remotely plausible.

Patty, I think I know what you are thinking. My reaction would be similar to yours.

J, yes, that was one of the worst names I have seen. KISS her seems to be much better in comparison.

V, very interesting! Honestly, the lists of notes are getting more and more esoteric.

That's hilarious, I thought the same thing Judith did. Hmmmmm, racy bull accord. I am guessing something musky/sweaty.

Musky and sweaty makes sense, but as a top note that does not seem as plausible. I am curious to smell KISS just to see what racy bull accord could be!

I hope that Cheezwiz knows that Kermit already had a fragrance (Amphibia). Seriously. Miss Piggy had one too (Moi).

I recently learned that American Heart Association has a fragrance, so nothing surprises me now. :)
