"I picked up the invisible scent of ylang-ylang and cinnamon as my brow dampened with sweat, and I inhaled the piquant memory of an island that existed in a rare state of grace I hoped would last forever." I highly recommend taking a look at the fascinating article by Ty Sawyer about the island of Nosy Be, off the northwest coast of Madagascar.

I am going to read the article right now, V. It's printing.
It makes me so happy that I am wearing Songes today. Wasn't that created from the fragrances Camille Goutal experienced in Madagascar, too?
Hugs!

R, Songes is gorgeous. I read that it was inspired by tiare flowers Camille Goutal smelled when she was vacationing in Mauritius.

Loved the article, it inspired my site entry today. There are a number of "fragrant lands" and I hope they remain so on this earth, so much is endangered. There are those wonderful lemurs there that eat flowers and nectar, possibly the most beautiful small animals on earth...and the fragrances sound heavenly...

Luccia, I think that lemurs are fascinating. I used to live close to the biggest lemur conservatory in the US, but I have not had a chance to visit. It was only by appointment and when I had a chance to visit, the lemurs were having their young, and the visits were not encouraged.
