Although I have encountered news of a fragrance from Jean-Louis Scherrer a few times over the past couple of months, today I was intriguied enough by it to make a special mention. Scherrer has produced a number of interesting fragrances, from the elegant green chypre Jean-Louis Scherrer to the smouldering Nuits de Scherrer.
S de Scherrer was created by the Givaudan perfumer Marie-Aude Couture-Bluche. It features white magnolia, orange blossom, tiare flower, tuberose over a base of vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli. I have always been interested in Marie-Aude Couture-Bluche's work, such as Comme des Garcons Nomad Tea and Garage (as well as the new Guerilla series), however S de Scherrer seems be in a rather different vein. I suppose that we shall see in September when the fragrance is going to be launched.
Hello,
how puzzling it is for me to read you comment on my work, and how nice too! I suppose you did not like my work for Scherrer as much as my Comme des Garcons works...!
You will be smelling some of my creations over the coming year too, and then: finished, since I have taken the decision to stop perfumery creation!
I left Givaudan and now live in Switzerland, and work for another company doing a different job....
It would be nice to get in touch with you: who are you?
Hope to read you some time.
