Roja Dove on Luxury and Perfume

Why does Roja Dove's fragrance look like a Clive Christian?

Interesting. Why oh why did they not say what the revived Weils were? I remember having a mini of something by Weil back in the days when those sample boxes of Parisian perfumes you could buy at the airport actually contained something other than Anais anais. And it was amazing - in a similar vein to Tabac Blonde if I recall. Do you know what I might be referring to, V?

D, I am not as familiar with Weil line as, for instance, Katie of Scentzilla. I have tried Zibeline and Antilope, but I do not recall those bearing much resemblance to Tabac Blond. Katie just posted a fascinating article on the history of the house, so you might find it very interesting.

By the way the article in the Scotsman was incorrect. This fragrance is not created by Roja Dove the fragrance expert.. It is by Clive Christian and in it's 16 oz. form complete with crystal bottle and diamond centerpiece, it costs $215,000. But if you've ever smelled No. 1 (the name of the perfume in its 1 oz. form), you've smelled Imperial Majesty, just in a smaller quantity, going for a $2000 or so USD. Google search "most expensive perfume" and you will find a lot more information about this.
