I wanted to wish everyone a great weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers! I am taking a holiday till Monday, when I will return with a review of The Different Company coffret. Today I am thankful for Hermès Doblis, Annick Goutal Songes and Frédéric Malle Carnal Flower. I plan to wear them all through the Thanksgiving weekend. If there is anything you are particularly thankful for (perfume or non-perfume related), please share!

I am thankful for Tea For Two. I hadn't worn it in a very long time, but some recent discussions about it reminded me I needed to buy a new sample. Man, it's lovely and perfect for a snowy day like today. Also, for Bois D'Armenie, which I see on your sidebar.

Vika, Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! How funny, I brought my Carnal Flower mini spray with me on our trip to wear this weekend. :)

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for the dialogue that perfume blogs create and the sweet people I meet over a good fragrance. Thanks to these blogs, I have just discovered a new favorite ... Parfums Delrae Debut, which is an absolute slice of heaven. I am wearing it today as a delicate counterpoint to the culinary excess of the day. Lots of love and beautiful scents and tastes to everyone!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving to all in the States. Here, in Japan, Nov. 23 is Japanese Thanksgiving day as well. (We don't eat turkey though :)) Wonderful and very interlligent reviews by Victoria, together with throughtful comments from everyone inspire me a lot. I am also thankful for Tea for two and Perfum d'Empire Amber Russe. Dark and spicy!

I am grateful for all the good things in life that we can enjoy with our senses: perfumes, food, music, books, cinema, paintings... And for all the persons we share it:friends, lovers, parents and sons and daughters. And I am grateful for nature: woods, flowers, the sea, the mountains and for this darlings that share our lives: dogs, cats, birds and all the rest, domestic or wild. And of course I am grateful for sharing this blog for all perfume lovers and for reading your sensible and intelligent comments Victoria.
GRACIAS.

I'm thankful for Patricia de Nicolaï's New York, the one scent that hasn't made my stomach flip today (horrible bug).

Happy Thanksgiving to you Victoria.I am an european reader and it's a great pleasure to read your blog. Please, excuse me for my bad english written langage because I have not a lot of practice.
Like Marina, I am thankful for Leathers old or new : knize ten, tabac blond, cuir de russie, bandit, bel ami (Hermès), dzing, and the last but really good : cuir ottoman.
At the opposite, I don't appreciate very much cuir mauresque by Lutens, because I think it does'nt stay a long time in the skin.
But, my prefered is an old Robert Piguet perfume completely discontinued and impossible find it.The name is CRAVACHE and it is an elegant, leathering, nostalgic and melancolic perfume of which one can think about an ebenist workshop.I have a little bottle of him and I keep it very preciously.Does everyone know it ?
Good week-end and many thanks again for the magic of your blog.

I will be thankful here for the classics I love that are still around in somewhat reasonable forms: Mitsouko (well, what I have is pre-reformulation), Cuir de Russie, Bois des Iles, and all the Carons:). And for Guerlain's bringing back some old ones, even if they are somewhat changed: Sous le Vent, La Voilette de Madame, etc. I would be grateful for leather, too, but it seems to be getting enough love here. I wore Ambre Narguile for Thanksgiving, because it always seems to suit that, so I should be thankful for Hermes, too (but I would be more thankful if they would make Doblis more available:)

On this grey and rainy day I too am thankful for the warmth of Carnal Flower, which I just purchased. When one can curl up on the couch with a scent like that it can rain all it wants!

Tigs, Bois d'Armenie has been a favourite of mine this fall. The only thing I am not thankful for is its badly designed packaging. It detracts from my enjoyment of the fragrance.

Marina, ah, leathers! One cannot sing enough praises for them. :)

Madelyn, thank you very much! It made me very happy to read your very nice words.

Nattygold, those are definitely the fragrances to be thankful for! Pets of course always bring lots of joy.

Sharyn, I am so very happy to hear this. I only hope to provide more interesting information in the future!
Posted by: BoisdeJasmin | November 27, 2006 at 19:19
Ina, I wore it a few times, and it was perfection. I hope that you had a great time.

Cait, I second everything you said. As for Parfums Delrae Debut being "a delicate counterpoint to the culinary excess of the day"--what a beautiful and wonderful thing to say. I can just envision this.

Kaori, Happy belated Thanksgiving to you! What do you tend to do on this holiday? Are there any special traditions?
Posted by: BoisdeJasmin | November 27, 2006 at 19:21
Dusan, and I am thankful for all of my readers who visit and share their thoughts (or prefer to remain quiet!) It has been a wonderful year and a half ever since Bois de Jasmin was born.

Gr8face, I am sure that she is a lovely dog. What a cute name!

Laia, thank you for your thoughtful and lovely comments. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Thank very much for sharing them.

Leopoldo, please get better! How awful to come down with a bug at this time (or at any time, for that matter).

Aryse, thank you very much for your kind words. I am glad to see you here (and I must say that your English is very good). I am so delighted to see you mention my beloved Cravache. I have been wearing it on and off, always searching for it, since it has been discontinued for quite a while. I really want to write about it, and perhaps after my return from Europe, I will devote some time to longlost Robert Piguet perfumes.
Posted by: BoisdeJasmin | November 27, 2006 at 19:31
Judith, I am thankful for all of those too! And as I said to Marina, one cannot be thankful for leather enough. :)

LisaCarol, "When one can curl up on the couch with a scent like that it can rain all it wants." This sums up my thoughts on Carnal Flower. What a beautiful fragrance! I am also very thankful for it.
