Giveaway: The indie line En Voyage Perfumes would like to give away two 15ml bottles of their fragrances, Nectar des Iles and Vents Ardents, to 2 Bois de Jasmin readers. Each winner will receive one of these products (either Nectar des Iles or Vents Ardents.) The roll-on bottle fits inside the larger cork topped vial. It is wrapped in banana leaf paper. Lovely presentation!
How it works: Please leave a comment answering these questions: "1) What is your ideal vacation? 3) If you had to take only one perfume to wear during that vacation, what would it be? 2) what perfume do you want, Nectar des Iles or Vents Ardents?" Each participant will be assigned a number, and 2 winners will be selected via a random number generator. Draw is now closed. The winners will be announced on June 20th.
Giveaway explanation: anybody from the US or overseas can enter as long as you answer specific questions explained in the contest rules.
1) the ideal vacation offers new and interesting things to see, possibly a couple of days at the beach, and does not require to much fuss (and airplane time) to get there.
3)I usually never choose the right perfume, when I travel. This year I might carry l'heure bleue...
2)Both sound very intriguing. But Nectar des Iles sounds like a white flower dream, so I'd choose that one!
Thanks for the draw!

1) Paris... anytime
2) I'd take Iris Silver Mist because I never get to wear it. It was a special bottle as it is only available from the boutique and in Paris I wouldn't feel out of place wearing it =)
3) So hard to choose since I would love to layer the 2... but I'd go with Vents Ardents~

Dear Victoria
1. At this time, my ideal vacation is one that will offer something for my 3 boys as well as the adults. Activity and mental stimulation. Whilst almost as far as one can get from the ocean, the centre of Australia and Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) offers adventure, beauty, warmth and ancient culture.
2) If I had to take only one perfume.....I would sneak in a few others....I would take Felanilla by Parfumerie Generale, as it is comforting and can be tropical (banana) in the warmth and offer coziness in cold weather......it can get frosty in the morning in the red centre of Australia!
3) Either really. Vents Ardents may match the salty, spicy feel of the red centre.

1) What is your ideal vacation?
The answer changes with every year. This summer I just want to spend as much time as possible at home with my family, lying on the grass in our garden, drinking some wine and talk about life and stuff (I was living abroad in the last year and just came back).
2) If you had to take only one perfume to wear during that vacation, what would it be?
It might sound weird, cos it's not a summer fragrance, but right now I would choose PG Musc Maori. It's creamy, sweet and comforting still not too heavy for the heat or overly sugary.
3) what perfume do you want, Nectar des Iles or Vents Ardents?
I would go with Nectar des Iles since my collection really misses a good tropical flower perfume.

1) Rome: a lot of wonderful art to look at, perfumes to sniff, great things to eat, great atmosphere and the seaside not far!
2) Houbigant Apercu: elegant, sophisticated, yet playful chypre with depth.
3) Nectar de Iles

My ideal vacation is always a trip to Paris. I wouldn't bring any fragrance because part of any trip to Paris is trying new scents and getting samples or buying something new! I would like to enter the drawing for Nectar des Iles. Thanks!

Ideal vacation: I love Glacier Park in Montana, British Columbia, all points cool, mountains, lakes, trees. Have never been to Alaska and would love to go.
I'd take along Parfums d'Empire Wazamba. The smoky pine resin smells warming in winter but cooling in summer.
These both sound lovely but I think I would prefer Vents Ardents.
Thanks for the opportunity!

1. Hubby and I haven't been on a vacation in years so anywhere sounds good! But ideally, a well appointed cabin in the woods by a lake or river. Warm days and cool nights.
2. If I had to take just one scent (perish the thought) I would take Burberry Weekend. The fruity floral is delicate and long lasting and feels oh so feminine to me.
3. Both scents sound wonderful but I would prefer Vents Ardents since it sounds like nothing I've already got.

1. My ideal holiday would be with my little boy, visiting one of my childhood homes- Indonesia...traveling through the islands with their multitude of cultures and religions...
2. If I had to take one perfume from my current collection, it would probably be Malle's Carnal Flower, because the weather is so hot in Indonesia and CF seems to smell better the hotter you get!
3. I would love to have Vents Ardents because it seems so reminiscent of my old island home- exotic and beautiful

Best vacation: Panamanian Rain Forest for it's many interesting and unusual scents.
Perfume to Take: Dans la Nuit by Worth. My favorite rosy fragrance, although I wouldn't use any perfume in a jungle!

1.) My ideal vacation would incorporate the following elements:
- the only thing preplanned is the arrival and departure date
-the location is tropical
-my husband is with me
-money is not an issue so splurging on anything be it a day shopping or daily massages and pedicures/manicures is on the menu
3.) The perfume packed in my travel bag would be Bulgari's Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert because it is a fresh, sexy and casual scent perfect for a relaxed vacation get away.
2.) I am dying to try Nectar des Iles so that would be my choice.

Thanks for offering the giveaway. My ideal vacation: I'd love to go on a bookstore tour of England and Ireland. Mouldering used books stores are treasure troves for this collector/reader. 1. my ideal vacation would honestly be to take a fragrance trip through europe... start in london and work my way through paris and italy..
2. well, since i would be doing much sniffing (and buying =D) on these excursions... i would bring something that wouldn't interfere with the sniffage.. probably cologne du parfumeur by guerlain...
3. i would love to sniff both.. but it seems i am more of a sucker for tropical florals, Nectar des Iles would have the edge =)

1) My ideal vacation is definitely somewhere in Europe, with a little bit of everything: castles and art galleries to visit, lakes and mountains to explore and of course some fun local food to taste. Switzerland was great, next time it will probably be Provence and Cote d'Azur. :)
2) Traversee du Bosphore, if a had it. From among my own bottles - probably, Ruban d'Orange by L'Occitane, for its refreshing bitterness.

My ideal vacation offers chances both to explore and relax. I loved Hawai'l last year, but now as looking toward Ireland as my next dream trip.
Only one perfume!?! That's a tough one - but Jo Malone's Honeysuckle and Jasmine is well tolerated by others (important for crowded flights and trains) and much loved by me. i find it relaxing as well, a good antidote to the stress fo travel. So, that one. I guess.
I'd love either, actually, but Vents Ardents sounds like nothing I already own, so it would be fun to explore!

My ideal vacation involves islands. I almost don't care what kind, although tropical is always nice. South pacific! If I could take only one perfume on my island vacation, it would probably be Hermes Eau des Merveilles because it smells like beach skin and never sours on me in the heat. I think that Vents Ardents sounds heavenly so it's the onle I'd most like to try. Definitely on my wishlist!
Posted by: Daniele R. | June 13, 2011 at 19:03
My ideal vacation is a smellcation through Europe to sniff the sights!
I would not bring perfume since the plan is to try (and buy)new ones everyday. Of these two I think the Vents Ardents sounds good.
Posted by: Jennifer | June 13, 2011 at 19:54
Oh too hard! Would I sail the Windward Passage in Bois de Isles? Would I go to the big German horse shows in Iris Silver Mist??
No at the moment it would have to be a trip to Paris to the Palais Royale in Tubereuse Criminelle, just to march into that d**m non-sending outside Europe shop and buy every Bell Jar!
I love the sound of 'Vents Ardents'...ever since I've been a small child I've loved the sense of a wind or breeze coming from far away with the dreamy spell of promise caressing my skin...
(I am assuming here that 'vents' means wind!)

Please put me in Italy...I have never been disappointed in Italy. Leisure walks or treks through the country side. Espresso's so delicious no matter the village or city. Ah the wonderful skies and scenery more beautiful than the "postcards". Wonderful foods and wines and people so kind (of course there is the the fact that my family came over on the boats way back when to become Americans in every way).
I'd take Golconda/Jars....
Please, Nectar des Iles.
Thank you :-)

One place I regret not spending more time in was Italy. Loved Florence but didn't see anything more of Tuscany, and would love to see Sardinia and more of the south in the future. Come to think of it, I'm overdue for a vacation and have my tax refund burning a hole in my pocket....
Cristalle would be my choice for Tuscany, and maybe something more citrusy for the south, like Carthusia Mediterraneo.
Vents Ardents sounds lovely!

1)To be together with my whole family, relaxing and bonding....with sand, sea and fresh water...and green trails, with herbs and plants(perhaps a few hours in Uncle Serges garden in Marakesh) and animals...kind of like Garden of Eden
3)Habinata has powdery for the mommy smell, and tabacco for the wife smell. Also you can apply it lightly for the heat...and more heavily for cool.
2)Hard to choose...love the name nectar de isle, it would sit nicely next to bois de isle....if Random. org chooses me, either one would be appreciated. The packaging is awesome!

2) I panick thinking I could be a while without L'Heuere Bleue. In eau de toilette, smells of warm golden skin. So I'll take it. May I also take Poivre Piquant to change sometimes?
